Where do I start?
Step 1: Select a Home College
When you create a UEC account, you must select one of the Utah System schools to be your home college. This is the school from which you are most likely to earn a certificate or degree. This selection is very important because the home college provides you with student services such as academic advising and assessment, and handles your financial aid. You must also use your home college's graduation requirements.
Utah's institutions are unique in many ways. Each school offers different degrees. Some have student populations over 20,000, others under 5,000. Some are located in metropolitan centers, others in small communities. Although you are here to explore distance learning classes, you may find yourself taking some classes on campus, so knowing about the campus community is important. Go to Utah System of Higher Education College and University Guide to learn which school best meets your academic interests.
Step 2: Choose a Major
Each partner school offers different majors. The majors and related degrees each college offers will influence your home college choice. Click on the links below for a list of majors at each school.

Step 3: CREATE AN ACCOUNT
Complete an application and pay the nonrefundable $35.00 fee. Students can only create an account once. If you already have an account, visit Current Students.
Step 4: Find Classes
There are several ways to find classes. See the printer friendly list of classes (PDFs). Each list shows all classes in a given semester period by delivery format, title, and provider school. You may also search the USHE College Catalog for specific courses by institution, general education designation, program of study, provider school and more.
Step 5: Register
Login to your UEC account, then click the "Add Class" button to request a class (I'm ready. Take me to the registration request form). Remember you can take classes from more than one school at the same time. You will receive a tuition invoice by email when your registration request has been processed.
