UEC Info

UEC Policies

The UEC offers the services students need to take technology delivered courses in a collaborative and unified manner so that students are effectively attending a single college. When you enroll in classes through the UEC, even if you take classes from more than one school, you follow one UEC policy for tuition and withdrawal deadlines, and refunds. If you have questions about any UEC policy, ask before you enroll.

Tuition Payment Deadlines

Tuition is due no later than the first day of class. If you are taking multiple classes, with different start dates, tuition is due in full the first day of the first class. Check your tuition invoice for confirmation of the due date.

Deadlines for Student using Financial Aid
Tuition is due no later than the first day of class whether your aid check is available or not. When your aid is disbursed, you will be issued a full check rather than a "remainder" check that deducts the tuition and fees. For questions on the status of your aid check contact the cashier's office of your home college.

Dropping Classes

It is your responsibility to formally drop or withdraw from class on or before the first day of class. Failure to formally drop a class may result in an "unofficial withdrawal" which is recorded as a failing grade in the class.

Students who use the UEC to register for classes MUST use the UEC to drop classes and to request refunds.

Refund Policy

For full semester classes*, students dropping classes will receive a 100% refund through the 10th calendar day of classes; a 70% refund is issued calendar days 11 through 20; with no refund on or after calendar day 21. All refunds are subject to a $15 processing fee. The refund will be calculated based on the date the student drops their class on the UEC web site. Contacting staff at partner schools is not acceptable. Phone calls do not constitute refund requests. Contact the service center staff if you have any questions.

*For block or accelerated classes, the timeframe is 1 to 5 and 6 to 10 calendar days for the respective refund levels.
