Why college?
A college degree means a brighter financial future for many individuals. According to the 2000 US Census, individuals with some college earn $5,300 more than high school graduates:
| Level of Education | Avg. Annual Income |
| High School | $25,900 |
| Some College | $31,200 |
| Associates Degree | $33,000 |
| Bachelor Degree | $45,400 |
| Masters Degree | $54,500 |
College graduates are more likely to volunteer and to vote, and are less likely to be unemployed or to require public assistance. College graduates generally make better consumer purchase decisions, have more hobbies, and have improved life expectancy.*
